The aromas of Naples, Italy will continue to fill “Main Street” at The Village at South County Commons in South Kingstown, R.I. with the relocation of Pasquale’s Pizzeria Napoletana to the former Shogun location at 59 South County Commons Way.
For almost four years, Pasquale’s has become one of the most popular eateries in South County serving appetizers, salads and pasta, and three types of pizza: New York-style, grandma and Neapolitan.
When interviewed at his initial opening in South County, Illiano said customers from Narragansett and South Kingstown had been pleading with him to open a restaurant in the area. It was clear after much success, a bigger space was necessary.
The new space will be complete with a full bar and the addition of a retail Italian Market offering specialty meats and cheeses. Illiano emphasized that even though the location will be bigger, patrons of Pasquale’s will continue to experience the same cozy and comfortable ambience as the smaller location. An oven coming directly from Naples, Italy and fireplaces will complete the rustic experience.
The new Pasquale’s is currently under construction and a grand opening date will be announced soon.
The Village is part of South County Commons, a 150-acre mixed-use development that includes a hotel, luxury apartments, condominiums, and assisted living residences. Among the Village’s nearly 70 tenants are restaurants, retailers, service providers, medical practices, and professional offices, as well as a spa, preschool, an eight-screen cinema and fitness center.
