South County Commons Blood Drive Helps Save Lives — and We’re Doing It Again!

A little time, a rolled-up sleeve and a generous community can make a pretty incredible impact.

Last week, South County Commons teamed up with the Rhode Island Blood Center and our friends at All South County Luxury Cinemas to host a community blood drive — and we’re happy to report that the afternoon was a success!

The Rhode Island Blood Center successfully processed 10 whole blood donations, which have the potential to help as many as 30 patients in need of lifesaving blood transfusions.

That’s 30 very good reasons to say THANK YOU!

To everyone who took time out of their day to stop by, donate and help spread the word, we are incredibly grateful.

And We’re Doing It Again!

After seeing the community come together for our August drive, we’re excited to announce that the Rhode Island Blood Center Bloodmobile will return to South County Commons on Monday, November 16th.

And this time, we’re setting our sights even higher.

Our goal is 15 successful donations — and we’re adding even more reasons to roll up your sleeve!

Those who turn out to donate at our November drive will receive a FREE movie ticket to All South County Luxury Cinemas and South County Commons is also adding a little something extra.

Donors will be entered for the chance to win one of TWO $25 Chamber of Commerce gift cards, which can be used at participating South County Commons businesses and restaurants.

Give blood. Help save lives. Catch a movie. Support local businesses. And maybe enjoy a pint afterward.

Not bad for an afternoon’s work!

Save the Date: November 16th, 2-6PM

We’ll be sharing complete details, donation times and appointment information as we get closer to the November drive, but for now, mark your calendar for Monday, November 16, 2-6PM at South County Commons.

Our August donors showed us what can happen when our community comes together for a good cause.

In November, let’s make an even bigger impact.

Thank you to the Rhode Island Blood Center, All South County Luxury Cinemas and, most importantly, every donor who helped make our August blood drive a success.

Ten donations. As many as 30 patients helped.

Next stop: 15. Let’s do this, South County!
