Robertson Stephens Expands to Rhode Island with New Office at South County Commons

There’s a new name among the professional businesses calling South County Commons home — and it’s part of a growing national wealth management firm.

Robertson Stephens Wealth Management recently expanded its national footprint into Rhode Island with the opening of its South Kingstown office at 50 South County Commons Way, Unit E6.

The new office is led by Managing Directors and Principals Carol Nulman and Richard Lewis, whose Rhode Island-based team joined Robertson Stephens in 2025.

A New Rhode Island Home

For Robertson Stephens, opening at South County Commons represents the firm’s expansion into the Rhode Island market.

Nulman and Lewis joined Robertson Stephens as Managing Directors and Principals along with team members Hunter Norte and Megan Grandmaison. Together, the team specializes in comprehensive wealth management, including investment management, wealth planning and philanthropic strategies.

When the move was announced, Nulman described opening the Rhode Island office as an exciting new chapter for the team, pointing to Robertson Stephens’ entrepreneurial approach, expanded capabilities and commitment to providing clients with personalized advice.

The South Kingstown office now serves high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families, with areas of expertise that include multigenerational wealth planning, retirement planning, customizable portfolio investments, estate and philanthropic planning, and strategies for corporate executives, entrepreneurs and startup executives.

Part of a Growing National Firm

The arrival at South County Commons comes during a period of significant growth for Robertson Stephens.

The firm announced earlier this year that it ended 2025 with $8.7 billion in advisory assets under management, representing 23 percent growth over the previous 12 months.

Its expansion into Rhode Island was part of that growth.

Robertson Stephens now operates offices across the country, with locations stretching from California and Colorado to New York, Massachusetts, Florida, Texas — and now South Kingstown, Rhode Island.

The firm also received a number of national industry recognitions during 2025, appearing on lists from USA Today, Forbes, Barron’s and Financial Advisor Magazine, as well as being named among Newsweek’s America’s Top Financial Advisory Firms for 2026.

Bringing National Resources to South County

Robertson Stephens describes itself as an independent, SEC-registered investment advisor offering comprehensive wealth planning and investment solutions within a fiduciary relationship.

For its Rhode Island team, joining the national firm provides access to broader investment, planning and technology resources while allowing the advisors to continue providing the personalized relationships they’ve built with clients locally.

And for South County Commons, we’re excited to welcome another growing professional business to our community.

With restaurants, shops and entertainment perhaps the most visible parts of the Commons, there’s also a thriving professional community located throughout the property — from financial and legal services to healthcare and other specialized businesses.

The arrival of Robertson Stephens is another example of that diversity.

Welcome to South County Commons, Robertson Stephens!

We’re proud to have the firm’s Rhode Island office — and its growing team — right here in South Kingstown.
